God Jul Snus - Merry Christmas Snus news for 2014
Is it Christmas time already? I must update you on the Julesnus and Christmas Snus products available for 2014!
While Julesnus is Swedish for Christmas Snus, not all Christmas Snus will be Julesnus this year. Do not be confused; I, Moe Unz, am not yet drunk on holiday glögg.
Glögg, which is mulled wine drink served hot, is one of the flavor characteristics of traditional Julesnus. The other three are cinnamon, gingerbread cookies, and cardamom.
The first Julesnus was launched in 2002 as Catchdry Christmas Snus. It was and still is the only white portion Julesnus ever made. CatchDry Christmas Snus was only available in 2002.
A year later, Gotlandssnus launched today what we know as Julesnus in both an original portion and loose version.
The only other manufacturer to offer a Julesnus was V2 Tobacco. Today it is offered as Offroad Julesnus, also in portion and loose versions.
It has been years now since either Gotlands or V2 has changed their Julesnus recipe. Both are extremely good, although there is a noticable difference in taste between the two brands.
I am enjoying a portion of Offroad Julesnus as I am electronically writing this. Swedish Post must have lost my gift box of Gotlands Julesnus as I don't see it on my desk. I will beat the mail carrier with my broom tomorrow.
Thunder Frosted Christmas Snus
Thunder Frosted Christmas Portion Snus is an exciting, although unexpected new flavor from V2 Tobacco.

When I opened my first can of Thunder Frosted Christmas Snus, I admit to being a little skeptical. What would the combination of the Thunder Frosted and Offroad Julesnus flavor profiles taste like?
In truth, it tasted pretty good! The mint of Thunder Frosted was primary flavor but the longer I kept the portion in, the more the other flavors gently kicked. The mint retreated but was still clearly there.
There was something linking all these ingredients together which I couldn't identify. I was prepared to spend the entire night using portion after portion of Thunder Frosted Christmas until I learned the secret!
Instead, I called the Uber-Director of V2 Tobacco, who is a personal friend, and asked him for the answer. The secret ingredient which links the Frosted and Julesnus flavor profiles perfectly is a touch of vanilla.
Now that I knew, I could immediately taste vanilla in the background! Hey, it is not cheating! I prefer to call post-studying.
I think Thunder Frosted fans will really enjoy the Frosted Christmas version. It is a change of pace that is not a change of pace. I hope that makes sense as I am drinking now.

This year will be the last for Gotlands Julesnus loose snus. If you enjoy this version of Gotlands Julesnus, you should load up your freezer while you can.

Offroad Julesnus 2014
Nothing changes for Offroad Julesnus this year which is a good thing. The special Julesnus recipe is back just as you remembered it from years past.
Offroad Julesnus will available in both portion and loose snus versions. V2 has no plans to discontinue the loose snus version after this year.
