Vika

The story behind Vika Snus is a fascinating one stretching back over 100 years ago.  It is very probable that I, Moe Unz, would have been very fond of Vika Svensson.  I do not know if she would have let me into her Coffee House after the first time I stumbled in drunk and singing, though.  If she had a pub, I know we would have been fast friends.

The remake of Vika Svensson Snus of Gothenburg is in honor of Mika Viola Svensson.  She was born in 1879 and was one of the first female students who earned an engineering degree from a University in Sweden. She was a talented society lady in the beginning of the 20th century. In 1911 she opened a Coffee House at Kyrkogatan in the City of Gothenburg.

Vika became very popular and would be considered a pre-Social Media Influencer today.  Her Coffee House was a beautiful meeting point of the rich and famous. Unlikely for this time she loved also to sell Snus to her Clientele.  This earned her the nickname Snus-Vika.
