Catch Snus was the first brand of snus launched as a portion snus only; there never was a loose snus version of Catch.
Rumor has it that Alrik Unz of the Unz Swedish Snus Dynasty blurted this idea out at a dinner with Swedish Match executives. We can't confirm Alrik's idea was the impetus for Catch, but the snus brand was launched one month later and has been very successful. We can confirm Alrik Unz never received a krona for the idea; not even a free roll of Catch Snus!
The brand portfolio consists of the following categories; Original, Dry and White Portion pouches. The pouches comes in either Large or Mini format. The White Portion pouch was designed with less running than the original pouch and a dry surface. In addition the Dry pouch was developed, a smaller pouch with even less runny.. Our latest innovation was introduced by the new format called White Medium Slim Fit pouch, a totally new size and shape of the pouch.
Catch’s main flavors are Eucalyptus and Licorice. However, the catch family contains several different flavors.
Catch Collection was introduced in 2008. The collection changes flavor several times each year, and each flavor is only sold for a limited time before the next variety arrives. Some previous collection flavors have included Mint Vanilla, Violet, Licorice and Rhubarb.
Catch Pure Mint is the newest addition to the Catch family. It is flavored with peppermint and introduces a new size and shape. Not only is it flavored with a fresh peppermint taste, but it also introduces a new size and shape. The new White Medium Slim Fit is optimized to fit under the lip. It is as long as a large pouch but wide as a mini pouch.
