Soldat

"Soldat" translates into the English word "Soldier".  Why they would name it that, I have no idea.  There is a snus brand out there called General.  Maybe Soldat was meant to be the enlisted persons snus? 

Here is a rough translation of the manufacturer's description of Soldat.  English is not my first language but it is pretty close:

Sweden has a long and proud history of uniformed people working for our security. Our experiences tell us that those who wear the uniform and in addition snus are well aware of the importance of a fresh snus when the adrenaline is to be turned on.

The equipment is checked, the plan is reviewed in the head and seconds before it is time to perform the operation, a new snus is added under the lip. This boiler has to merge with its owner. Become a part of his body and the perfect feeling that a snus user gets from putting in his prize.

What this has to do with popping in a fresh portion of snus with my morning coffee I don't know.  Does "merge with its owner" mean I am supposed to swallow the used portion before inserting a fresh one?  Even I, Moe Unz, don't do that; at least intentionally.

Fortunately and especially at this price, we don't need to know what they were thinking when the brand description was created.  Soldat is a great snus brand well worth trying!
