Back in the day, when I, Moe Unz, was traveling through Sweden in search of the perfect snus blend and a good drink, I stumbled upon the folks at YOIK AB. Oh, boy, what a time that was!
The team at YOIK poured their heart, soul, and a dash of Swedish magic into crafting products that were a flavor bomb in your mouth. Their ambition? To redefine the snus experience. Their method? Collaborating with some top-notch flavor experts from around the world. And that's how they created HELWIT. Now, between you and me, they once asked for my expert taste buds to give HELWIT a try. After a few drinks, I thought it was a dance move and tried to show them my "HELWIT shuffle".
Their factory, situated in the picturesque Gransholms Bruk outside Växjö, is an eco-warrior's dream. It's almost poetic how the production gets its electricity from the neighboring hydroelectric plant. I remember offering to pedal a bicycle to generate some extra power after a particularly energetic tasting session. They graciously declined.
One thing that truly caught my attention, besides the nicotine pouches and their refusal to let me DJ at their after-work, was their commitment to the environment. The cans they use? Made from pine oil. Not only is it ISCC certified (fancy, right?), it slashes CO2 emissions by a whopping 85%! Tried to one-up them with my DIY can made from last night's beer bottles. Looked snazzy, but opening that lid? Like wrestling a greased octopus.
Now, while YOIK and I had some great times and even better snus sessions, they decided to take their brand to the next level without my... unique input. But every time I pop open a can of their snus, I'm transported back to those days of flavor adventures, electric dance moves, and my ongoing quest to become the official brand ambassador.
So, here's to YOIK AB, their impeccable taste in snus (if not in dance partners), and their commitment to the planet. And if you ever get to visit their factory, tell them Moe Unz sends his love and is still waiting for that DJ gig.
