Kurbits Morgondagg White Portion

Kurbits Morgondagg White Portion snus has a unique flavor of flowers, licorice, and "a familiar cold from a morning that has not really been warmed by the sun."  I, Moe Unz, am baffled by the last descriptor.  It tastes to me of licorice/lavender/flowers with a slight menthol numbness even though there is no menthol taste or menthol content.  Very intriguing and worth a try!

More info

Kurbits Morgondagg White Portion boasts of having the tobacco mixed and processed to feel light, appealing and fresh.  I also have no idea what that is supposed to mean.  The white portions are slim, very soft and comfortable.  They feel good in the mouth and taste good too.  1.6% of high nicotine satisfaction as well!

Sorry Kurbits

Both the Fäbod and Morgondagg are the only snus I've tried so far that come off as a problem of quality rather than personal taste - they taste like a badly flavoured pipe tobacco.

The Morgondagg does at least identifiably have the flavours it's meant to, but the mix feels wrong - Skruf did it better in the Nyans Norssken. Even so - licorice isn't the right pairing for violet, for my money, violet needs something to fill in the low notes and licorice is too bright, if that makes any sense (e.g. chocolate works well, as does putting violet in dark coffee). I really don't like it. Sorry to say, I'll be throwing them away if no-one at work wants them. Particular shame with the Morgondagg, I got a whole roll cause it sounded much better on paper, in fairness I wouldn't want a whole roll of Norrsken either.

Oh, and Moe's right about that slight cold/numb where the packet is, yet no menthol or mint flavour. That's odd,not sure what does that but it does feel kinda nice, coming from a menthol-hater.

    Smells like dryer sheets

I tried to like it, but it reminds me too much of fabric softener. I'd forgotten that it's supposed to have licorice as it's pretty subtle in the mix. Glad I only bought one can, which I tossed. .

    Licorice lovers

First off, the portions are rather dry which may reflect the soft flavor I'm finding.

Secondly, the anise/licorice is a bit on the very subtle side. For example, it's not as presently 'bitter' as the XR Catch. Nor is there a play (raspberry) of sweetness to bring balance.

However, what is present is quite rounded, an earthy and natural tasting bitterness accented off something slightly cooling. As if an eucalyptus very muddled.

Overall: a bit lacking in fullness of flavor or presence but still tastefully different.

      If you like licorice

You’ll love it if you like licorice. The mixing of violet and black licorice is absolutely delicious.
