Goteborgs Rape No.2 is definitely my favorite of the two. Lingonberry reminds me of cranberry. I do not get the floral notes some of the other reviewers have reported. I'm more of a tobacco/bergamot person. Basically, I like whatever goes with coffee because I drink a lot of coffee. I've been ordering a few of these, as well as the original to change up the pace.

While I really didn't like regular Göteborgs Rapé (way too much juniper), I let someone convince me to try No 2, and I'm glad I did. No juniper flavor, but instead lingonberry, something new for an American. Slightly tart and sweet berry flavor that is very smooth and natural tasting. Low salt, moderate drip (higher than average for a white), medium tobacco, very easy to enjoy. Fine grained portions fit comfy. NOT too sweet, just enough to balance out the tobacco flavor. (Flavor reminds me of a 8mg version of the old Claq Que in the blend, but a different berry flavor) A great change up that could easy become an everyday snus for many people. Never overpowers, long enough lasting (1 hour+ for me), and doesn't get stale tasting over time, just weaker in flavor. Very much worth trying a few cans for something different, and one of few snus that earn 5 stars in my book.

I just received my first order of snus today. I'm attempting to quit smoking for the first time in 33 years and snus seemed like a good substitute. I bought Goteborgs Rape #2 along with several types of extra strong snus. I rolled my own filterless tobacco for many years so I thought I'd need the extra nicotine.
Thank god I added a can of Goteborgs Rape #2 cuz the first can I opened was Oden Classic Extra Stark and it nearly killed me! I stupidly thought snus was different than American chewing tobacco like Red Man, which I tried as a kid and nearly choked to death. Needless to say, Oden had me spitting like Luis Tiant on the mound at Fenway.
Fast forward to this evening and the cig craving was really getting to me, so I grabbed the can with the least amount of nicotine that I'd bought (Goteborgs) and popped a portion in my lip. Still had to spit for the first 10 minutes but as I got used to the flavor, I grabbed a dark beer from the fridge to ease the burn in my throat and, suddenly, all was right with the world.
It does have a dry, semi-sweet flavor like juniper/cranberries. Now, I just need to freeze all those extra stark cans I bought and order some milder snus.
If anyone is reading this who is considering using snus to quit smoking, you might want to start with mild snus. You can always work your way up to the stronger stuff and you won't be throwing money away on cans you may never finish. Happy snusing!

I love the other Goteborgs Rapes I've tried, and this one is okay, I'm not a big fan of fruit flavored snus, though. The fruit flavor/smell is obvious the minute that you open the can and pop one in your lip. It does have a bit of a wine essence, as someone else mentioned in another review. It is different, and therefore I can't say anything bad about it. Is it a favorite? Well not yet, but like other snus, perhaps I'll grow to love it after trying it a few more times. First time out, I wasn't all that impressed.

While this snus is good its not one I have reordered after the first can. I'm not huge on flavored snus and it just wasn't that memorable for me. It has a floral taste with a hint of a natural but not sweetened berry flavor. I would reorder this if I wanted something more flavorful and out of the ordinary. Good for Americans transitioning to Swedish snus.

this has become my snus of choice. I enjoyed the other rape' so I thought I'd give it a try. too bad for no. 1, this upstaged it rather brilliantly.
has a strong floral and berry flavor to it, and smells great. my coworker loves the initial "punch" of flavor, and compares the complexity and texture to wine. I'd highly recommend it if, after having tried some "regular" swedish snus, you're left wondering what all the fuss is about.
